Levothyroxine Tablets 50 mcg is used to treat an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism). It replaces the hormone that is normally produced by the thyroid gland. Low thyroid levels can occur naturally or when the thyroid gland is injured by radiation/medications or removed by surgery. It is important to have adequate levels of thyroid hormone in your bloodstream.

Levothyroxine treats hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormone). Levothyroxine is also used to treat or prevent goitre (enlarged thyroid gland), which can be caused by hormone imbalances, radiation treatment, surgery, or cancer.

Levothyroxine should not be used to treat obesity or weight problems.

Liothyronine Sodium tablets USP (25 mcg) help in improving symptoms of thyroid deficiency such as slow speech, hair loss, dry skin, feeling cold, lack of energy and weight gain.

These steroidal tablets can be used alone or with other medicines and is effective in the treatment of goitre.
